SWCP - South Cornwall

Leaving Falmouth behind and crossing the Fal Estuary to the Roseland Peninsula an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route offers easy walking to Nare Head and beyond there are several steep ascents and descents before the descent into Portloe.

From here the route to Dodman Point is a tough one, the path then varies before arriving in Mevagissey. From Mevagissey its a roller coaster day with High Cliffs and rocky coves between Pentewan and Charlestown with many steps to climb before Par.

Departing Par the route heads around Gribbin Head before crossing the river Fowey to Polruan. From Polruan the path climbs and zig zags over towering, rugged cliifs on its way to Polperro. A good mix of walking is experienced over the stretch to Portwrinkle before heading around Rame Head and a more gentle stretch to Plymouth.
