SWCP - Cornwall's Atlantic Coast

This section of the South West Coast Path has a good mix of rugged cliff tops, beaches, estuaries and headlands.

Leaving Padstow behind the coast path proceeds around Trevose Head, passing sandy beaches and rocky outcrops at Bedruthan steps before heading on to the surf beaches of Newquay. The route crosses the Gannel estuary and proceeds around Penhale Point before entering the dunes of Perran sands and onto Perranporth. Beyond Perranporth the coast path passes through an ancient mining district following rugged cliffs. From Portreath the coast path follows the cliffs with beautiful views of rocky coves to Godrevy point before the sand dunes to arrive in Hayle. Finally following around the Hayle estuary to Carbis Bay and onto St Ives.
